Muggles Have Nargles Too (WD, Heroes and HP)

Luna had been experimenting with one of her mothers spells that she had created, she had found it when she had been rooting through what was left of her house after the Death Eater attack. There were papers strewn all over the moors that were near her house and it had taken her almost all day to find the pages that she needed in order to complete the book that her mother had written.

But anyway, she had found this spell and had decided that she would go dimension hopping, it sounded like it would be fun! It was indeed pretty fun, the first time she had done it she had ended up in America, watching someone with powers do some serious wizardry...although when she had asked him, he had told her rather bluntly and rather rudely he was not a wizard and that she should 'get out of his way'.

This had made Luna pout but she had eventually gotten his attention by using her wizardry to pin him to a wall with levicorpus. Now her new friend Sylar had agreed to accompany her on the adventure she had embarked upon herself, although he seemed more than a little irritated by something, she couldn't figure out what though.

Once again she had used the spell and she had hopped them into a different dimension. Looking around with a tilted her, Luna stepped through the dark dank corridors of what looked like a prison very carefully. Lighting her wand with a whisper of 'Lumos', Luna continued to walk along the corridor, making loud 'Ew' noises as she stepped over the various decaying corpses that were littering the floor.

"Oh do you hear that?" she asked the man, Sylar, as she approached a corner, there were a large group of people rushing into a room with what looked like an injured person with them "I wonder where we are..." Luna hummed as she inspected a nearby wall for clues "There aren't many wrackspurts here so...Im assuming this is somewhere muggle."

Tapping her chin she turned to Sylar; "Lets go and assist the muggles, it is the least that we can do to see if they are alright. Maybe they will tell us where we have ended up."

With a bright smile, Luna hopped over the outstretched legs of the dead like she was doing hopscotch and opened the door to the room after sending a blast of; '"Bombarda!"

Poking her head in she sent the people in there a cheery wave; "Hello!"

Sylar had seen and done some weird shit in his time.

He was able to cut people's heads open and steal their powers and abilities through messing around with their brains after all. Other people could fly and others still could turn into nuclear explosions big enough to wipe out large cities like, say, New York. But nothing had prepared him for the day when he would go dimension hopping with a young British woman from a dimension where magic and spells and such existed in secret alongside much more mundane things.

It had been a bit of a shock to him but after only a little bit he had decided that he would go along with it anyway. After all, new dimensions meant new powers right? Well somewhat at least but not in the ways he had been expecting for the most part.

When they arrived in a dark and rather disgusting little hallway he crinkled his nose a little bit in disgust. He nodded, his hearing much better than her's due to a power he'd stolen,

"Yeah... I hear a man in obvious pain and several others panicking." he admitted before frowning a little bit, "Apparently they were attacked by... Walkers? Whatever those are."

As soon as she had blown the door in, Sylar knew that he was going to have to be the peace keeper in this situation. Stepping into the room, his eyes widened at the sight of an old man having his lower leg cut off by a younger man. It was rather savage if he was honest and made Sylar want to just use his power to cut the leg off cleanly, for the old man's sake if nothing else,

"What the hell are you doing?!" he demanded on the room just as the leg was fully cut off, "What's wrong with you?!"

Rick looked up at the newcomers and the rest of the group immediately trained their guns on them,

"He was bitten by a Walker... I had to cut his leg off to stop him from getting infected!"

Luna although she appeared not to be listening was in fact taking in every word that this Sylar man was saying, she did like it when he spoke because he had a very attractive voice. Sighing softly as she looked around the place she had found herself in Luna tilted her head to one side and decided that she didn't much like this dimension, not much at all.

There didn't seem to be a lot of people having fun here, and there were dead people everywhere, dead people attracted all sorts of bad magical creatures and she was sure that they would be attacked before the night was done if her realm still existed here.

Seeing the man having his leg cut off, Luna frowned softly;

"Why are you mutilating Santa Claus? Don't you know you wont get any presents if you do that..." she stated airily as she looked behind some of the metal gridding in the cafeteria it made her jump slightly when other people appeared from behind the counter and she laughed happily "Looks like I found you guys, you must have been playing hide and seek right? Does it mean that's my turn to hide?"

Santa was losing a lot of blood on the floor and Luna pursed her lips, shaking her head she approached and took out her wand, deciding to heal the man before he died;

"It wasn't very nice of you to do it without pain medication, you didn't even knock him out." Luna hummed and she chanted the incantation 'Vulnera Sanetur' and watched as the stump slowly healed shut, it was worth the effort to know that she had saved Christmas for all of the poor children in the world, what would they do without Santa!

"There you go Santa!" she stated proudly "Well my work here is done! Bye bye everyone!" Luna smiled and hopped over to Sylar, tugging his hand towards the door "I don't like it here."

Sylar was going to take a little leap of logic that Luna seemed to miss and assumed that the old man was not Father Christmas or Santa Claus or whatever. That left the option that something had happened to make this younger man cut off the old man's leg. Strangely enough the old man seemed to be grateful for it even when Luna began to refer to him as Santa. When the others turned to look at her incredulously, Sylar spoke up,

"Luna is a little bit strange but her question still stands..." he began quietly before his voice became cold, "Why did you cut the man's leg off? And explain nice and slow for me or I'll just have to take the answer from you forcibly."

Rick took exception to the man's attitude and immediately raised both his gun and the fire axe. With a wave of Sylar's hand they both flew across the room to clatter against the floor. Before any reaction though, another group of people seemed to appear out of nowhere. He frowned a little bit and Rick used the time to explain, trying to ignore what seemed to be magic,

"I had to cut his leg off... he was infected." he said as if it was the most obviously thing in the world. Of course he and the other survivors gaped like a fish when Luna healed the wound quickly and cleanly with no possible problems occurring, "How... how did you do that?"

When Luna decided that it was time to go, Sylar nodded but kept an eye on both Rick's group and the other group. Before they could go though, Rick spoke up,

"No! Wait! Please don't go!" he begged her, stopping dead five feet from her where Sylar had put up a strong barrier with his telekinesis, "Please... my wife is expecting a baby and we could really use your help?"

Luna blinked owlishly when everyone turned to look at her, she then realised maybe she wasn't supposed to call the old man Santa, it was obvious that he was in disguise. This must be what he did when he wasn't making all the toys in his workshop, he ran around in a horrible prison getting bitten by people and having his leg cut off. If they hadn't have completely severed it she could have helped reattach it properly but...Luna was no medic and didn't know how to do that part of magic.

Opening her mouth in shock when the man who had cut his leg off raised his gun and an axe at them Luna wanted to run and hide behind Sylar, she had never been attacked by muggle weapons before, she had only ever been in spell duels. Unbeknownst to her she did actually move slightly closer to Sylar as she was fighting her urge to be scared.

"I used my magic!" she stated with a happy smile "If you hadn't have cut off Santa's leg I would have been able to heal it back so he could walk but...you did cut it off. Are you going to do something with the leg or just leave it there?"

Tilting her head to one side she gently nudged it with her shoe; "There are many bits of random people laying around in the hall, do you cut lots of legs of people? Is it your hobby?"

Luna smiled brightly and when Sylar turned to leave with her she began to wander out of the cafeteria, but the protests of the leg cutter stopped her and she turned to look at him a little bit confused. Tilting her head to one side she looked up at Sylar;

"I think he must be talking to you. I have no clue how to deliver a baby...you look like you've done it before!" she stated cheerfully before blinking and noticing a shambling mass of people coming their way, they did not look very healthy and many of them had blood covering them, and parts of their body had rotted away or dropped off altogether "Uhm...Sylar?" she asked, for once her voice was a little bit serious.

Sylar had to admit that the group of survivors, because he was already connecting the dots in assuming that this was something like the zombie infection craze that had been sweeping through his world before he had left it with Luna. It was refreshing to be dropped into a world where he might actually have the slightest clue how to defend himself from it to be quite honest. He smirked a little bit, shaking his head at Luna's continued use of the name Santa.

Rick and the other members of the group were, obviously, very sceptical about the fact that she had used magic to heal Hershel's wound. But, of course, they had to consider the odd event of the man waving his hand and both of Rick's weapons flying across the room despite his firm hold on them both at the same time,

"Would... would you be able to heal it if we pressed it back against it or something?" he asked, almost pleading with her, "The world is too dangerous for Hershel to survive long with only one leg, you have to help us!"

Sylar frowned a little bit and was about to reply to Luna's question of their hobby when he realised that there were some human-like things moving towards them in the corridor. Immediately he used his powers to cut an arm off but the thing didn't even blink. Nodding to himself, knowing his theory had been correct, he concentrated and slammed their heads against the nearest wall with his powers.

All of them went limp and Sylar turned to Luna,

"It would appear that we have stumbled across something of a 'zombie' infestation." he admitted before turning to Rick, "This is truth yes?"

Rick was a little bit in awe of the other man's powers but nodded none the less. His fear was easily picked up on by Sylar, who said nothing as the other man spoke,

"Yeah... a few months back the world suddenly seemed to implode." he admitted before frowning, "Where have you been hiding in order not to see it? To not know about it?"

Luna blinked a little bit, she wanted to try and help Santa heal his leg but she really didn't know how to heal him like this, she hadn't been taught a spell this advanced in Hogwarts and she hadn't gone to healer training, that was Neville's forte! Sighing softly she decided that she might as well give it a go, perhaps if she used a regular healing spell it might help to attach the leg back together.

"Well...I'll try but don't be mad at me Santa if I turn you into a frog or something like that...I don't know the proper spell but hopefully the ones I do know will be able to help him." Luna stated in her same dreamy manner as she gently sat down next to Santa and brought the leg with her, pressing it against the stump that she had healed before.

As she was attempting to heal Santa's leg, Luna merely blinked up at Sylar and decided that the idea of zombies was something she wasn't really interested in experiencing. She didn't fancy being eaten in the middle of the night. When she had fixed santa she really should be taking them away from this place.

"Oh, well then when I have fixed santa I am sorry but me and Watch Man are going to have to leave, I used a spell to bring us to different places, for an adventure, I don't like it here much so...I'm going to leave." she stated with a bright smile "It doesn't look like much fun here!"

Stepping away from Santa, she was amazed that she had been able to heal him and she clapped her hands happily; "I saved CHRISTMAS!" she exclaimed "Come on then Sylar, where do you fancy going next?" Luna asked as she stood back up, dusted off her jeans and went over to stand by Sylar, peeking down the corridor to see if there were more of those things.

Rick and the others, including the recently awoken Hershel, all paled significantly at the idea of her being able to turn them into frogs by accident when trying to heal their injuries. Seeing their expressions and being only a little bit amused, Sylar decided to save their tiny little minds,

"Don't worry she has much more control over her magic than that comment would imply." he told them honestly, making them all relax, before he smirked and added, "But she's never really specialised in healing from what I know so who knows what kind of results we could be expecting to be honest."

Once again their expressions fell and Sylar frowned when he noticed one of the people behind the cooking area aiming a gun at the leader's head. He snatched the weapon out of his hand with his telekinesis and crumbled it up like a ball of paper with his mind alone. Sylar muttered about her choice in nickname for him but kept an eye out for more zombies out in the corridor.

Hershel was beginning to get a little annoyed at being called Santa but that didn't mean he lost his manners at all,

"Than' yer miss..." he thanked her quietly as he moved his leg a little bit, "Fee's as goo' as new!"

Rick now knew that he needed these two strangers to help him and his group. Reattaching limbs with the slightest of ease? The group needed that, there was no doubt about that at all! He reached out towards the woman, getting a small glare from Sylar as he spoke,

"Please don't go!" he called out for her, "It's my son... he... he can't lose his mother... it'll crush him and whatever baby is born will most likely live without a mother... please... you can give them a mother with your magic!"

Luna smiled brightly and happily when Santa decided to speak to her, he had woken up and that was a good thing in her mind, although he looked a little bit peaky and so she took out a little potion from her charmed bag and handed it to him with a small smile on her lips. There was a woman, who took it from Santa and frowned at the bottle, it did look a little bit like blood the colour of it that was;

"What is this?" the woman asked a little bit dubiously, uncorking the bottle to smell it "What does it do?"

"Oh it's a blood replenishing potion, I thought that he might need it, he looked like he lost a lot of blood back there, this should make you feel a lot better." Luna smiled brightly as she saw the look of surprise and gratitude on the woman's face and also on Santa's, it made her feel good to help people out like this.

As the man reached out towards her, the one who looked like he was the leader of the little group, Luna tilted her head to one side. She didn't really want to stay but it would be rude to walk away while he was talking to her. Of course, she did not expect the guilt trip that she was receiving about his childs mother dying...

Luna knew how lonely it was without your mother, she had felt that loss so keenly, especially the past few years she had been in trouble.

"I'm really sorry Mr...but like Sylar said I don't know much medical magic, I have no clue how to deliver a baby..." Luna stated with a small sigh "I guess if something goes very wrong I could be there to fix it but...like I said I don't really want to stay here, and I don't think my friend wants to stay here either."

Looking up at Sylar for his view on this, she decided she would remain neutral on the subject, but she had said that she wouldn't mind staying to be on hand in case of a disaster. She wouldn't like it if another child was left all alone without their mother because she had decided to be selfish and leave them in trouble.

Sylar wasn't really part of this conversation anymore and he knew it. They were discussing things on their own and his input wasn't really wanted now was it? After all, it wasn't his skills they wanted to make use of. They seemed to completely ignore the fact that he could wipe out these dead-fuckers with the power of his MIND. He sighed a little bit and resumed what he had taken to calling the 'guard god' position at the doorway.

The very idea of such a useful potion perked Hershel up quite a bit and he examined it closely before taking it cautiously. Not seeing why he shouldn't trust her right now, he uncorked the potion bottle and drank it down. It tasted nasty but most medicines did to be quite frank. Of course it only too a few moments before he began to feel a lot better,

"Tha' littl' potion you hav' ther' coul' sav' a lot o' lives." he told her honestly with a smile, "Any chance you can show me how to make some of it myself?"

Rick knew that he was playing dirty with his decision to bring mothers into this and he knew that she would at the very least have a mother and be able to sympathise with the idea of either losing one or not having one. He was making some progress on the front of the woman but the man seemed to be as adamant as ever and it all rested on him,

"What do you say Sylar?" he asked the man tentatively, "Will you agree to stay to help my wife?"

Sylar turned to look at the man and the assembled survivors, along with Luna. After a few seconds he sighed and shook his head as he gather his thoughts,

"I guess we're going to be staying then." he agreed with a large amount of reluctance before adding in, "If she annoys me though I'm cutting off her head."

Luna couldn't help but laugh softly and she shook her head, it was funny the way that the muggles thought that they could make the potion. It was quite obvious if you had bothered to ask that only people with magical input could make potions, and she didn't think that in this world they had the ingredients needed to be able to actually make it even if they had the ability to in the first place.

"You're so funny." she smiled broadly "Only magical people can make potions, besides, I don't see you having an ample supply of blood grass to hand, I suppose I can leave you a few though for emergencies, but, I don't have that many with me..."

Humming softly she looked around the room and then smiled at the other people who were still behind the shutters of the canteen, she thought that they looked a little bit scared and Luna wondered why. It was probably because of Sylar, he was a little bit scary but...but he was nice to her at least. They were friends.

"Awwwww Sylar thank you for letting us stay, I hope that she gives birth soon though, I don't think I'm going to like living in a prison very much...its cold and scary." she stated with a small sigh "And there are bound to be nargles everywhere, my shoes are going to get stolen again."

With a little pout she turned to the other group and she stuck her wand back in her pocket; "So are you going to take me to meet your wife and your son then? I would like to sit down and put this bad down, it is very heavy."

Luna stated gesturing to the small bag she had hanging around her wrist, it was much heavier than it looked but the whole group just looked at her like she was crazy again. Everyone thought that she was crazy and it was getting a little bit annoying, deflating a little bit she caught Sylar's hand and squeezed it, walking behind the others happily.

"Well this is an adventure isn't it?" she asked with bright smile "You are so cool the way you killed all those zombies just then, I thought they were going to eat me! It looks like it might hurt...if you get bitten do you want me to cut your arm off and heal it back on, or should I just heal it straight away?" Luna speculated as she walked through the corridors just hopping over bodies.

Sylar was beginning to get annoyed with all of these people because they were treating Luna like she was crazy and he had found out through getting to know her that she was anything but crazy. She was strong and intelligent and didn't deserve to be tarred with such a brush like that. It annoyed him too that they were likely all going to get away with it as she was incredibly unlikely to want to actually do anything about it.

Hershel was a little bit disappointed to find out that only magical people could make it, with ingredients he had never heard of too. His first thought was that she just didn't want to teach him and was lying but the evidence of magic being real was right there in his re-attached leg so why not have potions that only magical people could make? It made a certain kind of sense he supposed,

"Ah well I'm sorry to waste your time with my question." he told her as he shakily pulled himself up onto his two feet, "You did an amazing job with my leg... it feels exactly the same as it did before it was cut off."

Rick had guilted Luna into stayed and they all knew it but apparently they all also accepted it. Sylar was a little bit bitter about it but when her hand found it's way into his own he relaxed a little bit and squeezed her hand gently with his own,

"Yes this is an adventure alright..." he joked a little bit before smirking slightly, "Just the healing please, less painful."

As they approached the camp of the survivors, Rick led both Luna and Sylar over to where the heavily pregnant Lori was sitting down in a chair. She looked up at them,

"Rick? Who are...? I'm sorry, I'm being rude." she shifted slightly with a nervous smile, "My name is Lori Grimes... who are you if you don't mind me asking?"

Luna smiled brightly and she shook her head, she didn't think that he was wasting her time at all with his question, she was happy to be talking to someone new. Although she thought that they all thought that she was crazy or at least a little bit strange....they were still being nice to her albeit in a little bit of a patronising way. They hadn't even asked her name yet...which when she realised it made her frown a little bit.

"There is no such thing as a stupid question Santa!" she stated with a broad smile "I am glad that you asked me, I like to answer questions. Well I'm a great witch, of course I was able to attach your leg, although I wasn't really sure what I was doing." Luna stated, her voice trailing off into her dreamy rather far off tone.

Unable to stop herself from smiling when Sylar squeezed her hand back, Luna was glad, the prison reminded her of when she was locked up in the basement of Malfoy Manor for all those months...she didn't much like it there and she didn't much like it here. Luna could only hope that she would be able to stay with Sylar and he would distract her.

"You got it." she laughed happily "You promise you'll stay with me when we get to the other people? I meant it when I said I didn't really want to stay." Luna murmured softly, moving her gaze to stare at one of the blood splatters on the wall, which had become very interesting.

Seeing the woman, who was no doubt Rick's wife, Luna smiled brightly and she waved jovially;

"Ah hello! You know you are the first person who asked who we are!" Luna commented, a statement which was normally a bad thing, was made to seem happy by her tone "I am Luna, this is my friend Sylar. We're here to help you with your baby pushing!" Luna grinned wider "Oh my, your brain is filled with wrackspurts...you really should wear some charms to ward them off..."

Trailing off she wandered over to one of the windows; "Oh! That muggle game...baseball? Badminton...? Basketball?" she stated looking out at the basketball court out of the window.

Hershel wasn't thinking unkindly about the young woman but he had to admit that she didn't really seem to be all there in the head sometimes. It was like half the time she was serious and purposeful and the other half the time she didn't seem to be seeing and experiencing the same world as the rest of them were. He might have commented about it to Maggie but for the look that her travelling companion gave him.

Even though they were metres away it was a look that told Hershel that he could hear him even though he was that far away. He swallowed a little bit,

"Yer a lot kind'r than the witches we rea' about in stories and alik'." he admitted with a smile, "Yer've fixed me up righ' as rain and you're going to be helping Lori wit' her birthing... god bless you."

Sylar hated this place and was beginning to quickly come to hate all of the people just as much. No one was ever this annoying without an agenda and with this world being as desperate as it was, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume that they might use Luna and him for their own nefarious purposes that would benefit them and only them,

"Yes I'll be by your side through it all don't worry little moon." he told her, using his little pet name for her before smirking ever so slightly, "Would you be surprised to hear that I don't want to be here either?"

Lori seemed surprised that no one had asked their names before and Rick had the decency to look a little bit sheepish. Sylar just looked pissed off because that's what he was right then, pissed off. They were scum these people... only thinking about themselves. Lori was silent during Luna's explanation and only spoke to Rick in a whisper when Luna moved to the window,

"What the hell? She some kind of freak or something Rick?"

Almost immediately Sylar had Lori pinned to the wall with his powers tightening a hold around her neck while a thin knife of ice appeared in his hand,

"Want to say that again bitch?!"

Luna was happily walking along the corridors, she was just glad that she would be able to be here without worrying about Sylar going off and leaving her looking for people with powers, although she thought that there were no people with powers here. If there was then they would be able to fight the zombies more effectively wouldn't they?

Unable to stop herself from grinning broadly when Sylar used her nickname for her, Luna squeezed his hand even more and enjoyed looking around the more airy bit of the prison that the other people were occupying. There were more people there and they were all looking at her, looking at her like she was someone intruding...but she was here to help!

"I like it when you call me that, Sylar." Luna admitted in her dreamy sort of voice "No, I can see you don't want to be here, I would just feel bad if this lady died and we could have done something to stop it from happening. Her babies would be so sad."

As she was enjoying just looking out of the window, Luna heard what the woman, Lori said and her heart felt like it was kicked hard. Although she didn't really let it show on her face, Luna was devastated, she was here helping these people, when she could be going on her way after already saving that man...and here she was insulting her? Closing her eyes gently she took a small breath in to try and ease the pain in her chest.

All these years later and it still hurt when someone said cruel things to her.

"Watch Man!" she gasped "Put her down! Think about the poor baby!"

Gently placing her hand on his arm Luna shook her head with a light smile; "Please, don't worry about it Sylar...I mean I'm used to it by now. I got called freak every day in school by all sorts of people, at least these guys haven't stolen and hidden my stuff yet. Did I tell you about that? It was all in good fun really I'm sure..."

Letting her gaze filter out, as she gazed off into the distance, Luna snapped back to reality and smiled her small smile;

"Don't worry, even though you are mean to me, I'll still help you. I don't want you to be hurt, its just petty, don't you think?" humming she flicked her gaze away from the woman and looked back outside "Do you have any pudding...I could use some..." Luna stated quietly.

Sylar had come up with the nickname for Luna but he had a little personal rule when it came to using it and that was that he would only use it when only she could hear him. He didn't want anyone else to call her by that nickname and the best way to ensure that was to make sure that no one else heard him referring to her by that nickname.

There was also a little bit of masculine pride that kind of demanded that he not refer to her as something so cute within earshot of others, otherwise he would lose the fear and respect that they were developing of him,

"Well even if something does go wrong..." he shrugged a little bit, "I'm pretty sure that I would be able to figure out how to grow the child outside of the womb."

Rick and Lori were both very aware that the latter had stepped in it big style by now but to be honest they'd have to be stupid not to notice the fact that he was pinning her to the wall with his powers by the throat and preparing to stab a thick icicle into her chest cavity right then and there. Rick had his gun out and pressed against Sylar's forehead.

There was a stand off here as both Rick and Sylar thought about who would be faster in attacking.

As expected it was Luna's pleading that stopped Sylar from going overboard and he sighed a little bit, dropping Lori with his powers and turning to Luna,

"She doesn't deserve your forgiveness and neither do the people who pulled such mean spirited pranks on you." he told her firmly before sighing, "But I'm here to make sure that you're not too badly affected by how asshole-like they are."

Both Rick and Lori had the decency to look a little bit sheepish and Rick looked more than a little bit disgusted in Lori, prompting her to flinch and say,

"I'm sorry I was mean about you... I didn't think." She admitted before nodding slightly, "There's rice pudding, custard, chocolate cake and some apples. We collected them from surrounding areas."

Luna couldn't help but smile and squeeze Sylar on his arm with a happy grin on her lips, she thought that he really was amazing in many many ways and this was just one of the ways that he was amazing to her. Learning how to grow a baby out of the womb on his own like that, Sylar would have been a Ravenclaw for sure if they had grown up together.

"You're so clever Sylar." she commented with a bright smile, giving him a little compliment.

Frowning a little bit when he just dropped Lori on the floor, Luna almost went over and helped her up but she thought that Sylar would have exploded in anger if she had done something like that. It was obvious he didn't like any of the people here, but she liked Santa, and she was glad that he was going to be here with her.

"Thanks, but I've held my own until now I am pretty sure that I can take anything that comes my way." she stated with a bright smile "It would be nice to have someone on my side, we are both a long way from home after all, we can be on each others sides."

Laughing softly Luna shook her head; "You aren't sorry, you meant what you said. You don't have to force an apology out just for me you know. I might have some later, I don't think I'd feel right taking food from a pregnant lady, I was actually talking to Sylar."

When Santa came back in Luna brightened up a little bit; "Santa! How is your leg, is it still okay? Im Luna by the way, sorry for not introducing myself before, I was a little...distracted." Luna stated as she found her attention drawn to a particularly odd splattering on a wall.

Taking a look around Luna sighed softly; "This place is really creepy...how can you guys live here? I mean, I lived in a place like this for months and months but I didn't have a choice about that...but you're here voluntarily...strange." she speculated before sitting down on the floor and pulling a magazine out of her tiny little bag, an edition of the Quibbler, and started to read the upside down magazine.

Sylar wasn't sure whether or not he actually counted as being intelligent seeing as it was his evolved human power that made him understand these things. Did that mean he was smart if he was using his ability to know these things just by concentrating on them for a few moments? He wasn't sure to be quite honest but he would happily take the compliment,

"Thank you Luna." he thanked her honestly with a warm smile, "You're a genius though it has to be said."

He knew that it wasn't good for the child, to drop the mother to the ground like that, but he wasn't about to apologise for it. The bitch deserved it for what she had said about his little Moon. No one insulted Luna around him and got away with it. He smiled faintly for Luna,

"I'm always by your side Luna, I'm always on your side." he assured her quietly, looking into her soft eyes as he did so, "I'm never going to leave your side Luna and I will fight to the death to protect you and your happiness..."

Lori flinched a little bit at the fact that she had been caught out about not actually being sorry but made no effort to reinforce her efforts. Rick just sighed in disappointment at his wife and holstered his gun. When Hershel appeared he chuckled a little bit in amusement at Luna,

"Nic'te mee' you Luna. My name is Hershel Green." he told her honestly with a small smirk before sobering to answer her, "Well it's worse outside... with more of those Walkers out there. This way we have somewhere defensible if nothing else."

Luna couldn't help but smile brightly, she enjoyed being complimented and it wasn't often that she had someone say nice things about her who wasn't a relative. Sylar had been scary when she had first met him, like, really scary and she had to fight him to stop him from hurting her but now...now that they had both gotten to know each other Luna felt like she was very close to him, she didn't want him to return home.

Unable to stop herself from gently flushing under his gaze, and his words, she could feel herself beginning to have her heart beat faster and faster in her chest. She wanted more of this feeling, this feeling of love.

"Thanks Sylar." she whispered softly, gently linking her hand with his "I like knowing that you are on my side, out of everyone I have met, I would have been very sad, if you had not gotten to know me, and found out underneath I'm not as eccentric as I appear..."

Kissing his cheek gently Luna decided to stay by Sylar, holding his hand with her own and humming gently as she looked around the prison, it would be nicer if she could use her magic to make it a little bit more livable, but seeing as they seemed to like it the way it was, she wasn't going to waste more of her effort.

"Hershel..." she hummed "That's a really nice name, and green is one of my favourite colours, it is very good for warding off nargles, that is why my charm is green and blue jade." Luna flicked her charm and smiled brightly.

With a small hum, Luna tugged Sylar over to the window to look at the little dots of people in the distance, they were walkers? Zombies? All of them...that was very sad.

"I see they could be a problem for you guys, well I'm glad you have somewhere safe to stay when we leave, it's way too much hassle to go about clearing them all out, I'd get tired." she stated with a small hum "Oh look Sylar, there's a section about the upcoming minister elections, I do hope that my friend is in with a chance."

Showing him the Quibbler, she pointed at the moving picture of her friend, Hermione Granger, who was running for Minister.

Sylar liked the way that Luna's cheeks seemed to brighten with a blush, taking it as a good sign for his not-so-secret affections for her. He had never kept his feelings for her secret because to him there was no point in doing so. After all, she would respond in kind if she liked him in the same way. He didn't need to bombard her with his emotions constantly or try to hide what he felt.

There was little worse than trying to hide yourself and your emotions.

"To find out that underneath you're not eccentric at all but in fact absolutely brilliant to be sure." he agreed with her as he stroked a strand of her hair out of the way of her eyes, the beautiful eyes that he adored looking into so much, "I'm just glad that I have been able to travel with you Luna, every trip is like a lifetime we've spent together and I really like that about this whole experience that I have with you."

Holding her hand gently in his own, he gave it a gentle squeeze as he maintained eye contact with her. Hershel chuckled a little bit not only at the interaction but at her words about the 'nargles' too and what they did,

"Yeah well bein' here is a lot more secure than bein' near anything else you know?" he admitted with a sigh, "We occupy a house and it's a target. Occupy a prison and no one thinks twice, all wanting to get away asap."

Sylar looked over at her magazine, still not used to how the pictures moved, and nodded as he read the headline about her friend,

"From what you've told me, it's mainly the corrupt who benefit during elections... but I hope she manages to get in without selling her soul."

The sound of rushing feet alerted Sylar to the addition of another person to the conversation. He was prepared for it to be another annoying old people when a young teenage boy, probably the 'Carl' that had been mentioned, came rushing into the room. He became a lot more serious when he noticed Sylar before glancing at Luna and his mouth dropped open,

"Are... are you Luna Lovegood?" he asked her, beginning to get slightly excited, "You know... friend of Harry Potter and member of Ravenclaw house?"

Luna couldn't help but feel embarrassed that they were talking about this in front of other people, she hadn't really talked much about her feelings for someone and she was a little out of practice, especially when everyone was gawking at her because she was strange and because they were being rather public with their affections.

She would very much like to continue this conversation later on when they were able to find somewhere nice to sleep, she had every intention of transfiguring the room they stayed in heavily, she wasn't going to be enjoying sleeping in a cell as it was.

"Im glad that I got to see this side of you Sylar, you were so different when we first met but, I guess that just goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover." she whispered softly, leaning her head against his shoulder, placing a finger on Sylar's lips with a shy smile on her lips "Although I'm a little shy talking about it in front of all these strangers...they are listening in I just know it."

Tilting her head to one side when she heard someone else approaching she saw a young boy, maybe about 12, 13 approach the group and she gave him a bright smile. He seemed to be sweet if not a little bit grubby, everyone seemed and smelled like they needed a good bath. If only they had the water for it, and, they hadn't asked her to give them any, so she wouldn't.

When the boy knew her name, Luna blinked and she extended her hand towards him;

"Yes I am Luna, pleased to meet you. You must be Carl." she stated with a bright smile "I must say you are very smart to know who I am without having met me before, are you perhaps a wizard too? Your head is certainly more clear of wrackspurts than your mothers, which is good."

Still holding the Quibbler in her hand, she was sure that the boy could see the moving pictures if he cared to look, and that she was wearing her normal necklace of bottle tops from her butter beers she had been drinking over the years.

"I am here to help make sure your mother is okay when she starts pushing her baby out." she stated with a happy tone to her voice "So she is in good hands."

Sylar would be the first to admit that this really wasn't what most people would have thought he liked to do. To declare his love from the highest rooftop almost. Admittedly he would never do anything of the sort for anyone other than Luna... She had changed him and he loved what she had changed him into,

"Very well... Since they won't be kind enough to buzz off I suppose we'll just have to talk about it later." he agreed with some reluctance, "I was rather enjoying that though..."

Everyone who knew Carl could see that the boy was almost overflowing with excitement at meeting Luna and no one but Carl seemed to know why. Hearing her talk about magic, seeing the magical magazine and knowing her name made it clear to Carl,

"You're from the Harry Potter book and film series! You're awesome Luna!" he cried, stars in his eyes almost, "You're amazing! Can you use your wand? Please please please?!"

Sylar blinked a few times before leaning closer to Luna to whisper,

"I think you've just found your number one fan..." he commented with a smirk, "Anymore excited and he'd be foaming at the mouth!"

Luna thought that the change that had happened with Sylar was very odd, but also very amazing if she had to describe it. Hopefully if he chose to go back home to his own dimension he would do so as a much more balanced and less serial killer like man. Of course you couldn't blame a werewolf for its nature and she thought about Sylar the same way.

Maybe being away was good for him though. He seemed a lot happier than before that was for sure.

"Alright then...I look forwards to it." She murmured softly "It bodes to be a most interesting conversation."

When the small child, Carl seemed to be almost flailing in excitement because of her very presence, she couldn't help but be a little bit flattered. Of course she was wondering how the small child she didn't know knew about her. The mention of a book series about her good friend Harry Potter, Luna frowned her usual soft dreamlike frown.

"A book series about my good friend Harry? I didn't know he had released his autobiography inter dimensionally...how odd!" Laughing happily, Luna took out her wand and gave it a swift flick turning a nearby rat into a water goblet by using Feraverto "There, now you have a most excellent cup to drink from!"

Smiling lightly at Sylar she hugged her arms to her chest; "It is nice, normally Harry gets all the fans."

Sylar had once been a monster of a man and he knew it, along with Luna. She knew what he had been like before meeting her but she never held it against him and that was something he had initially found very odd and unsettling.

How could there be people like that in the world?

The answer was that there were no people like that in the world, Luna was unique across all of the infinite dimensions and he loved that about her,

"Oh it'll be something you tell your grand kids about." he teased her a little bit with a wink, "I've always been good at surprises after all."

Carl seemed to vibrate with excitement when she made a eat into a goblet before rushing off what a shout,

"I'llberightbackdon'tgoanywhere!"

Carl returned mere moments later with a thick book that he held up to Luna with a pencil,

"Can you sign my copy of Half-Blood Prince?" He begged her excitedly, "I thought you were just make believe... But you're really real! It's so amazing!"

Sylar was amused and his little smirk showed that fact easily,

"Yeah... I'm beginning to feel a little jealous if I'm honest." he joked, "Of course if anyone recognises me it won't be good..."

Luna was thoroughly intrigued by what was going on with Sylar, what did he have planned for the two of them later on? It sounded like it was going to be something to remember and she had to applause his resourcefulness in being able to find what it is he needed in a world he had never been to before. Maybe it was one of his powers? He hadn't told her all of them after all.

"I shall look forwards to seeing what you come up with Sylar, maybe you can make something out of one of your powers...I am just wondering what you could pull off at such short notice..." Humming softly Luna tuned out and she looked out of the window again "Perhaps you have another narglr charm for me?"

The small boy, when he ran out and started to speak louder about her staying put and not going anywhere, she nodded her head, of course she wasn't going anywhere. Unless his mother had the baby very sneakily just then. Turning her head to check, Luna was content she hadn't missed the birth, it was her job to help after all!

"Sign something? Well...I would love to." Luna smiled dreamily as she took the quill and began to write a message to Carl, signing it at the end with her rather twirly signature which took up most of the FTP t page "There you go, in fact, here..." Taking off her bottle cap necklace she handed it to him "To ward off the wrackspurts."

Unable to stop a little laugh Luna shook her head as she sat down on the floor again;

"I can always be your fan girl Sylar if it makes you feel better." She commented teasingly.
