Dahlia was a little down on her luck.

What did a reasonably attractive girl do when she was down on her luck and in need of a new source of income? Trevor didn't exactly like the fact that he was taking advantage of women... so he preferred to think of it as a much more mutual thing. Turning from attempting to explain her presence to the woman behind the bar, to get a glimpse of the guy behind her, Dahlia was a little surprised at what she saw.

It was very strange for someone who had never really been a big advocate of instant attraction, but never the less, there it was. Holding her hand out so that she could shake his hand in greeting, Dahlia thought that she might as well treat this like it was a serious interview. No doubt there'd been some competition and coming across serious and like she cared was probably going to go in her favour.

"Ah nice to meet you." she replied graciously "Of course, no problem." Dahlia agreed, nodding her head as she followed the male through the dim lit room where the stage sat and into the back room where she no doubt would be doing her interview "I'm Dahlia, by the way, I haven't really thought of a stage name yet, I didn't want to be presumptuous."

Not a lot of people really introduced themselves properly when they were speaking to him. They probably made a lot of assumptions when first seeing him and assumed that he was either beneath them or not big on formalities. And he wasn't big on formalities! What he was big on, was being shown some fucking respect! He was a 'legitimate' businessman with property and capital coming out of his ass after all!

So when she went to shake his hand he raised an eyebrow and shared a look with the bartender before taking her offered hand in one of his own and shaking it briefly,

Dahlia flushed slightly at the name that he had given her but apart from that held no other reaction. She didn't mind the name, oddly, which made her quite surprised. Perhaps she would fit in better in this role than she had thought that she would. Not getting wound up with comments such as that was a sign that she might be right for this role - no doubt it was something she would be getting called a lot in her time working here. If she worked here.
